Mingo Man Facing Assault Charge After Stabbing

A Mingo Junction man is facing assault charges after stabbing his mother’s caretaker.

According to Sheriff Fred Abdalla, James Lemmon, 31, apparently became distraught and fired a shotgun into the ground five times. That’s when the caretaker tried to stop the man.

The caretaker was then stabbed several times.

Abdalla says that the caretaker was taken to a Pittsburgh area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Lemmon was charged with felonious assault, weapons under disability and public intoxication.
