A Moundsville man was arrested in Marion County after police said he held another man in a hotel room and demanded to perform sexual acts on him.

William Stanley, 52, was with another man at the Red Roof Inn in White Hall, according to White Hall Police. The man told police that Stanley locked the door, stood in front of it, and would not let him leave.

According to police, Stanley said he was going to perform oral sex on the man, or he was going to shoot him. Stanley then told the man to sit down on the bed, and he complied.

Stanley walked over to the man on the bed, slapped him across the face, began making out with him, and grabbed his genitals, according to police. Police said the man told Stanley to get off of him, and Stanley said, “Do you want me to blow your f***ing brains out?” Stanley then reached underneath the bed, and the man got away and ran for the door.

Stanley tried tackling the man, police said, but he was able to get out of the room, yell for help, and run to the front office.

Stanley is a register sex offender, police said. Stanley is charged with threats to kidnap or demand ransom and first degree sexual abuse.
