Moundsville Police are searching for three people who stole a cart full of merchandise from the Moundsville Wal-Mart on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said three people walked into the store, and filled up a cart with tools, drills, saws, batteries, socket sets, an impact drill and four Timex watches. The merchandise is valued at $2,500.

Police said two of the men started putting the items in the cart, then they parked it in the clothing section, left, and came back and pushed the items out the door. They said the suspects drove off in a dark-colored SUV.

Moundsville Police don’t have any leads on who the suspects are, but do say they believe they are local. One of the suspects was wearing a white shirt with an American flag, another was wearing a gray t-shirt, and the other was wearing a camouflage shirt.

If you have any information, you can call Moundsville Police at 304-845-1611 or the Lauttamus Security Crime Fighters tip line at 1-800-223-0312.
