No matter your heritage, there was something for everyone at the Saint James and John’s first-ever multi-cultural dinner on Sunday afternoon.
Aromas from 18 different foods filled the school gymnasium, along with live entertainment from the MSM band. Everyone attending had the opportunity to load up their plates and try something from one of the eight ethnic groups represented.
All of the dishes were prepared and donated by members of the church.
Parish secretary Trudy Forester was happy to see the hard work paid off. “The turnout has been far beyond our expectations today, so we are delighted with that,” she said.
Forester added they hope to do the event again in the future. All of the money raised Sunday will go toward Saint James and Johns School and Parish to help with operating expenses.
