Marshall County has turned the former Jozabeth’s in Moundsville into a new, multi-million dollar public safety building.
It now houses the Marshall County 911, Sheriff’s Office, and EMA.
State-of-the-art equipment and technology can be seen in nearly every corner in an effort to keep the people of Marshall County safe.
This project has been one that many in the county have been looking forward to for quite some time.
“They saw the need that the Sheriff’s Department, the 911 Center, and the emergency management office was in need of updated, more modern facilities with the space to be able to do the public safety duties that we have and that we’re responsible for; so this is a great day for public safety in Marshall County,” said Marshall County EMA Director Tom Hart.
The former board of commission recognized the need for the building nearly a decade ago and started putting the money aside.
So now there are no outstanding costs associated with the constructions of this new facility.
As for the price, the project was completed for $7.37 Million.
