Natural Gas Electrical Plant to be Built in Harrison County


The Harrison County Community Improvement Corporation has announced plans to build a new 1,000 megawatt natural gas-fired electrical power generation facility will be constructed on 60 acres in the Harrison County Industrial Park.

Officials with the company say the announcement will bring 500 construction jobs to the area along with 30 skilled permanent jobs.

“The plant will bring 500 construction jobs for three years and about 30 skilled permanent jobs to Harrison County. In addition, the plant will utilize local natural gas and support significant job grown in the region,” said Dale Arbaugh, President of CIC.
