Nearly 30 Retiring Employees Honored by Ohio County Board of Education

The Ohio County Board of Education honored 29 retiring employees at Monday’s meeting.

The board thanked the retiring administrators, teachers and service personnel for their more than 900 years of collective service.

Each employee was given a certificate and a plant from the Wheeling Park High School green house as a small token of appreciation.

“We thank them for their years of service to Ohio County Schools, and we thank them for making a difference in the lives of our students, and we wish them well in their retirement,” said Superintendent Diana Vargo.

Retiring Assistant Superintendent Bernie Dolan said he’ll miss the friends he made but also the students who have been involved at the school, during his coaching and other activities.

Dolan will be honored at the June 22nd meeting.
