A Neffs man was arrested very early Monday morning in Bellaire.
Joshua Hall, 22, was taken into custody in the 4400 block of Noble Street right around 1 a.m. Officers were responding to a domestic violence incident, where Hall was reportedly intoxicated and punching holes in the wall.
According to Bellaire Police, Hall was assaulting a mother and daughter in the home, while the mother held another child in her arms. Police said they noticed visible marks on the child.
He was arrested at gunpoint and had to be physically taken down by officers. He was handcuffed but then ran outside, and was caught by an officer a short time later.
Hall reportedly had over 19 grams of marijuana, a set of digital scales, two sets of brass knuckles with spikes that screw into them and two knives. Police also confiscated a five shot North American Arms revolver from the home.
Hall was taken to the Belmont County Jail and is facing two counts domestic violence, escape, child abuse, trafficking in drugs, two counts of carrying concealed and assault on an officer. His bond was set at $30,000.
Bellaire Police were assisted by Bridgeport, Martins Ferry, and Shadyside Police Departments, as well as the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
