New Bill Provides Help For Drug Addicted Babies

A new bill in West Virginia is aiming to help babies that are born addicted to drugs.

The bill is called the Cradle Act and will improve medical care for infants diagnosed with exposure to opioids during pregnancy.

The Cradle Act will also focus on providing counseling to families who have drug exposed babies, from pediatric recovery centers.

The bill has 25 co-signers from the House of Representatives, and was officially passed in September.
