A new restaurant in Moundsville doesn’t just make the 1950’s a theme, it’s a lifestyle.
At Rock N Rowdy’s on Route 2, the waitresses wear poodle skirts, the décor features record albums, hot rods and juke boxes, and they have car shows every Friday.
Kids meals are served in a take-home ‘vehicle’, and kids can choose from a Corvette, GTO or a pickup truck. Diners can also take the Double-Dog-Dare-You Challenge, a four pound steak hoagie with two pounds of fresh-cut french fries.
Even the regular menu has a retro feel. They are open every day of the week, except Sunday, and they deliver.
West Liberty’s Swing Dance Club will perform in the parking lot on November 1 from 2-5 p.m. Owner Rowdy Workman said not to worry about the music blaring in the parking lot. He said it’s just to get people’s attention, and that inside, it’s not loud at all.
Rock N Rowdy’s is at the site of the former Moundsville Pharmacy.
