Oglebay Park is about to open a brand new splash and play area for children.
The splash and play area includes several places to run through the water, basically moving around in every direction to enjoy.
There’s a fenced in area to separate the fountains of fun from the “big pool” making it a little more worry free for parents.
This is entire project is all thanks to generous donations from the Hess Family in honor of Chris and Mary Ann Hess.
“We were looking for something that would excitement, fun, something really interactive and especially for our young people,” ,” said Oglebay CEO, Steve Hilliard. “We have so many young families in the area, we wanted something that was going to be really, really fun and different for them, and we don’t have anything like this in our parks.”
The official ribbon cutting will be Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. The pool is open daily 11:00 to 7:00, weather permitting.
You can enjoy evenings at the pool on Wednesday when it’s open until 8:30 for family fun night.
Admission after 5:00 is just $2 for adults and $1 for children ages 4-12.
