Obama Delivers Strong Message Against Opioid Use in WV

President Obama’s message he delivered in Charleston, WV was a strong one as he spoke with families of people who lost their lives to addiction.

West Virginia leads in the nation when it comes to overdose deaths, most of which stemming from heroin, but as the president pointed out, most of those cases all started by abusing prescription pills.

President Obama went to say that people are realizing there needs to be more treatment options, but the funding for such programs is not there at this time, something he along with the Congress plan to address in the coming months.

The president is calling for government on all levels to look into this growing problem that we’re seeing particularly hard here in the Ohio Valley.
