It’s sat vacant for years, but this week the Ohio Department of Transportation will begin work to make the old weigh-station along Route 7 near Rayland a parking spot for truck drivers.

This will affect traffic on Route 7 between Rayland and Rush Run.

The project calls for a new 14 space, truck parking facility.

ODOT estimates the project will cost almost $870,000 dollars.  With a completion date estimated as sometime during September 2015.
