Oglebay, Chevron to Offer New Science Options for Students

Marshall County School officials are enhancing the science curriculum to students in the county, thanks to a grant from Chevron Corporation and Oglebay Institute.

On Thursday they kicked off a multi-year partnership to better students science education in 1st through 8th grades.

Chevron gave the county $46,000 which will double if the first year is successful.

Students from Glen Dale Elementary and Center McMechen Elementary even had the chance to take a field trip to the Schrader Center at Oglebay Park as part of this new partnership.
