We’re getting ready to begin a new year which means we will start to see the people elected this past year moving into their positions.
On Monday, two of those elected officials took their oath of office in Ohio County.
Tiffany Hoffman was sworn in as Assessor and Michael Kelly was sworn in as County Clerk. They both took the oath of office in front of Circuit Judge Mazzone. Family and friends were also in attendance. Both Tiffany and Michael say they’re excited to get to work for the people of Ohio County.
“I am really looking forward to working with all my staff and the taxpayers. I’m just really excited to take the position and fulfill what the taxpayers have voted me in to do,” said Hoffman.
“I am looking forward to trying to digitize the office so that the general public will have the ability from their home computers to get online and have access to the records,” said Kelly.
Tiffany also mentioned that she has plans to work with legislators to hopefully get some codes changed regarding out of state plates.
