Ohio Man Sentenced on Heroin Distribution Charges

An Ohio man was sentenced on Monday to 23 months in jail for heroin distribution, according to the office of United States Attorney William Ihlenfeld.

Through an investigation by the Marshall County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, police found that Lionel Hollingsworth, 25, of Marietta, sold heroin in November 2013 near Moundsville. In August 2014, he pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of heroin.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Randy Bernard prosecuted the case on behalf of the government, and Senior U.S. District Judge Frederick P. Stamp presided.
