He was once one of the most feared men in the NFL, but on Wednesday night “the Beard” paid a visit to some of his adoring fans.
Brett Keisel wasn’t the only former Pittsburgh Steeler in attendance for the Robinson Automotive and WTRF Steelers Kickoff Party.
“This is great, I love being able to meet and talk to some of the best fans in the world,” said former wide receiver great Louis Lipps.
Lipps and Keisel were also joined by former linebacker Robin Cole.
Fans were lined up for over an hour to see their favorite players.
“I’m the biggest fan in the world! I’m so excited. Go Steelers!,” added young Steeler fan Cody Richard.
When 7News anchor Nate Fluharty asked Cole about the Steelers week one matchup against the new New England Patriots, Cole responded by showing off his Super Bowl ring and adding, “our team didn’t have to deflate any footballs to win.”
“This is just something we like to do so the fans get to meet some of their favorite Steelers,” added Roberta Robinson from Robinson Automotive.
The Pittsburgh Steelers open up the season against Patriots Thursday night.
