COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Prosecutors in central Ohio are recommending a 20-year prison sentence for a woman who admitted she participated in a plan to kill her fiance to collect his life insurance.

The Columbus Dispatch (http://bit.ly/Yh9St6 ) reports that Amy Lambert pleaded guilty on Thursday to one count each of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery in the October 2012 slaying of 38-year-old Michael Payne.

Prosecutors are recommending a 20-year sentence for the 29-year-old Lambert if she testifies against the two men charged with strangling Payne at his apartment.

Her co-defendants, 20-year-old Maxamillion Williams and 31-year-old Dartanian Hawkins, have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled for trial Monday. Lambert, of Bexley, will be sentenced Jan. 9.
