The Ohio Marshall County Pharmacist Association’s 41st annual continuing education seminar is scheduled for Sunday, March 1 at Wilson Lodge, Oglebay Park in Wheeling.
This year’s seminar will showcase programs to help pharmacists enhance their role as a trusted advisor and partner to their customers.
The seminar will feature four different presentations. Dani Dolan, an adjunct assistant professor with the WVU School of Pharmacy, will begin the presentations with one of her own on “Current Vaccine Recommendations.”
Dr. Jon Wietholter, clinical assistant professor at WVU and an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Ruby Memorial Hospital, will review “New Therapeutic Agents for Coagulation.”
Dr. Jonathan Kline, clinical assistant professor of family medicine at WVU, will present on “Good Drugs Gone Bad.”
David Bougher, nurse specialist with Wise Hospice Options, will give a presentation titled “Hospice and Pharmacy Partnership.”
The seminar is designed to provide the tools to navigate and understand the new challenges value-driven health care will present.
Proceeds from the seminar are given to WVU for scholarships and equipment.
