Preparations are under way for the annual Festival of Color at the Palace of Gold in Marshall County.
The family-friendly event features live music, vendors, yoga and colored powder throwing every half hour. Color festivals are designed to promote love, friendship and unity within the community.
“People come from all over the tri-state area because this is the festival where people can come together and have good, clean fun. It’s a family-friendly festival. They can come and throw their worries to the wind and color their lives,” said Festival of Color Organizer, Vrindavana Das.
The festival will run from noon until 5 p.m. and the gates open at 11 a.m..
The annual festival attracts thousands of people each year. Event organizers advise showing up early to avoid long lines.
