OSHP Investigating Early Morning Crash That Injured Four People

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that happened early Monday morning on State Route 800 near Barnesville.  This happened before 6:00 am Monday.

The OSHP says this accident happened when a hummer was traveling on Route 800 when it attempted to pass another vehicle improperly, then hit a vehicle traveling the opposite direction head-on.

As a result, four people were injured.  Crews from across Belmont County responded and it took several to get all the victims freed and to the hospital.  The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Charges are pending against the driver of the hummer depending on the extent of the victims’ injuries.  The investigation continues.
