It may look like just a physical therapy center, but it’s much more than that. This new state of the art facility now provides care for your whole family.
Tuesday afternoon the ribbon was cut at the all new 8,000 square foot Outpatient Center at the Highlands.
Doctors and staff at Ohio Valley Medical Center say they have already been providing primary care at the Highlands, but this facility provides some important new features.
There’s a new physical therapy center and all new gym and full time physical therapist and several doctors offices.
In the future the center will have imaging and a lab for outpatient needs.
“We’re trying to expand our healthcare out in the community. I think the old days of brick and mortar for hospitals are by the wayside and as we move forward you know, trying to get facilities out where the public is,” said Bernie Albertini, Vice President of Physician Services.
“With me being family practice we see people of all ages so we’re definitely open and taking new patients, and then with Pat here he’s wiling to see walk ins, so if you come up and need therapy he’s able to get you right in,” said Jennifer Frangos of the OVMC Physician Family Practice Department.
Doctors say they’re looking forward to getting new patients.
