Officers say they have made an arrest in connection with the armed robbery at the Hilltop General Store in Tippecanoe, Ohio.
Nickolas Billman, of Flushing, was arrested after officers from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Reservoir Hill Road in Flushing, Ohio.
Officers seized several items they believe were connected with this case, which included an AK-47. Billman was not in the home at the time of the search.
Officers located his 2001 gold Ford Ranger extended cab truck on State Route 9. When officers initiated a traffic stop, Billman took off and a chase ensued.
The suspects’ vehicle struck a guard rail, a police cruiser, and an uninvolved motorist before coming to a stop on Route 9, near Fairpoint, Ohio.
Authorities questioned Billman and say he will be charged for the armed robbery of the general store.
