A Wheeling man was arrested after police say he broke into a home in Elm Grove.
Officers with the Wheeling Police Department say Steven James Heslop, Jr., 24, broke into a home on Paxton Avenue in Elm Grove around 2:44 p.m. Friday afternoon taking a number of items.
Heslop Jr. was charged with burglary after residents in the area called 911 and reported the incident. Police say the reports were able to give officers a description of Heslop.
Within minutes, officers caught up with Heslop on Kruger Street near McDonalds, where he was then arrested.
Heslop was arraigned and taken to the Northern Regional Jail.
His bond was set at $50,000 cash only.
