Police in Tyler County have arrested a woman they say attempted to break into a home in Middlebourne.
Just after 5:00 a.m., Tuesday the Tyler County E-911 Center received a call that a female subject was trying to break in a house on Hardman Street in Middlebourne.
The owner of the residence was home at the time and was watching the suspect from a window in the house.
An officer with the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office found the individual matching the description a short distance from the scene burglarizing a vehicle that was parked along the street nearby.
The female subject was identified as Julia Ann Minor of Harrisville, WV. She was charged with Nighttime Burglary and arraigned in Tyler County Magistrate Court.
Minor was placed on a $10,000 bond and was transported to North Central Regional Jail.
Several other residences have reported their vehicles have been vandalized on Dodd Street in Middlebourne.
Police say the investigation is active and more charges are pending.
