Police Find Stolen Cash Register from Bellaire Robbery

The cash register stolen last week from Frizzi’s Market in Bellaire has been recovered from McMahon’s Creek.

Bellaire Police Chief Mike Kovalyk says the register was in pieces, and empty except for one roll of dimes that the thieves apparently missed. Otherwise, they had cleaned out the three hundred dollars that was inside, leaving no fingerprints.

In the meantime, another business was burglarized over the weekend. Chief Kovalyk says burglars broke into Bellaire Tire on Noble Street, taking cash and lap tops. Police believe they got in through an alley window.
