Police are investigating an alleged clown threat made towards all high schools in Belmont County.
A Facebook page called “Ain’t Clownin’ Around,” made a threat to staff and students at “all high schools this Friday.”
Belmont County Chief Deputy James Zusack alerted every school and law enforcement agency in the county.
It was up to each district, how they wanted to handle it. Since then, the page has been taken down.
Police say this was not a bomb threat, but a “Clown Threat.”
According to police, the threat included specific harm to students and staff, but Zusack not releasing the specifics.
Shadyside High School is currently on lockdown.
The high school music teacher at Shadyside also discovered a picture of a clown on their printer for no reason.
