Police: Man Stabbed in Neck in Belmont County


 Bellaire Police were dispatched to Belmont Community Hospital Monday at 7:00 p.m..

According to police, a male had come into the ER with a stab wound to the neck area. Officers were advised of a suspect. The victim was transported to a Wheeling Hospital for surgery.

Police say the incident stems from a domestic argument involving a female and the victim.

According to police, Cliff Alfred Frazier, 47, formally of Bridgeport, Ohio was arrested in the 600 block of 43rd Street. Frazier was arrested at gunpoint, processed at the Bellaire Police Headquarters and transported to the Belmont County Jail.

Frazier is charged with Felonious Assault, a felony of the first degree, and Having Weapons Under disability, a felony of the third degree, 

Police say Frazier is convicted felon.

His bond was set at $30,000. Police are continuing to investigate.
