Police Recover Bullet and Casings in Steubenville Shooting


Police responded to a report of shots fired Saturday in Steubenville where they said two homes and two cars were hit by bullets.

Steubenville police responded about 11 p.m. Saturday to the area of 6th and Ross Streets. After speaking to several witnesses, police said three black males exited a black colored SUV and began shooting several rounds at two black males in a silver car. After the shots were fired, both vehicles fled the scene according to police.

Officers recovered four 9 mm shell casings, a .40 caliber casing, a bullet and a bullet fragment.

No one was injured and no arrest was made.
