Police Release New Details in Jefferson County Homicide

US Marshals found a man police believed witnessed a murder in Jefferson County before running off.

Charlie Piper III was found at his mothers home on Wheeling Island Monday afternoon.

Police believe he may have the murder weapon.

The murder victim has been identified as Nicholas Alissandratos. His girlfriend, Mica Brandi, is the believed shooter and is in custody.

It all started around 11:30 Sunday night, when police were called to County Road 7 in Jefferson County, just outside of Adena, where Brandi and Alissandratos lived with their just three-week-old baby.

Sheriff Abdalla said Brandi was the one who actually called 911 after shooting her boyfriend, then, running out of the house. He adds this is not the first call to the home.

“There was supposedly domestic violence issues. I believe he may have been domestic violence in the past, but according to the shooter, there was no marking on her body where she was hit. (No) busted eye, busted nose, busted lip, there was no type of injuries. There was a red mark on her neck,” said Sheriff Abdalla.
