Police arrested Robert Hatten, 39, for allegedly stealing $25,000 from vendors in our area and a car, Friday morning.

Police say Hatten stole $10,000 from Marshall County and $15,000 from Ohio County.

Moundsville police say they first saw Hatten in a stolen vehicle in Marshall County before he made his way into Monroe County.

That’s when police in Monroe County obtained a search warrant for a residence in Jerusalem. When police found him, they say Hatten pointed a 9 mm pistol towards them, but he was arrested without incident.

Hatten is being charged with resisting arrest, weapons under disability, and receiving stolen property.

He’s being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
