Presidential Candidates were facing off in 5 states for the chance to gain more delegates. As of 9:20PM these were the latest results….
In the Kansas Democratic Caucus–
Bernie Sanders is announced the winner, but no numbers had officially been released. On the republican side in Kansas, it was called at 5:30PM and Senator Ted Cruz was named the winner, beating front runner Donald Trump. Cruz received 48% there.
The Republicans were also facing off in Maine–
Ted Cruz with another win of the night. He came away with 46% of the vote. Beating Trump’s 33%.
And in Kentucky–
This race had not been called, but Trump lead with 43% of the vote. Cruz is still hanging around with 30%.
The Democrats took center stage in Nebraska, and here are those numbers–
Bernie Sanders was declared the winner with 55% of the vote. That was Sanders’ second win on the night.
The polls in Louisiana closed, but the Democratic side was already decided.
Hillary Clinton took 72% of the vote where she got her only win of the night, and for the Republicans, a winner had not been decided as of yet, but Trump had the lead with 47% of the vote. A tight race was held between Rubio and Cruz who were battling for second place.
