Warming weather means we’ll start to see more potholes on the road, and a new study from AAA reveals that pothole damage has cost U.S. drivers about $3 billion each year.
When the snow melts and local roads start to crumble, AAA has some tips you can follow to avoid damage to your car.
1. Check your tires to make sure they have enough tread and air.
2. Make sure your vehicle’s shocks and struts are in good condition.
3. Always be alert and keep your eyes on the road for potholes.
4. Avoid puddles.
5. If the pothole can’t be avoided, slow down.
