Power Back On After Tuesday Night Storms


UPDATE – 9:00 p.m.:

Power was restored to First Energy customers in Hancock County, while South Central Power only reports two remaining customers out in Monroe County.

AEP and Appalachian Power are reporting 396 customers in the dark in Marshall County, and 646 customers without power in Harrison County.


 A number of power outages were reported after a line of storms moved through areas of the Ohio Valley between 5 and 6 p.m. Tuesday.

AEP is reporting as of 7:30 p.m. that 396 customers are without service in Marshall County, while AEP Ohio reported 645 out in Harrison County.

South Central Power is reports that 39 people in Belmont County, 101 people in Harrison County and 33 people in Monroe County are without service Tuesday evening.

First Energy also reported about 100 outages in Hancock County, with an estimated restoration time of 9:00 p.m. for all customers.
