Principal Allows Students to Shave His Head for Meeting Fundraiser Goal

It was an exciting day for students and faculty at St Michael Parish School on Friday afternoon.

It not only was the their last day of school, but as part of a promise they got to shave their principals head.

Earlier this month, Principal Lee Gruber, made a promise that if the school reached its fundraising goal of $10,000 for the Amazing Raise Fundraiser he would allow the students to shave his head.

The students succeed that goal by $3,000.

“This is actually our first year and we had great success at it,” Gruber said. “We did a matching, so we actually raised $23,000 total. It’s something exciting something to get the kids excited about just have fun and have a goal.”

Gruber says he is proud of the students but just hopes his hair grows back.
