You may have seen #RememberingJoJo on social media and wondered what it’s all about. It’s all to honor a lost loved one and friend.
Last November, the loving and out-going 10 year old passed away in a tragic accident. Wednesday would have been his 11th birthday.
Tiffany wanted to help make his birthday special, so she decided to honor him in a way she knew he would want-doing random acts of kindness.
“Josiah always had such a huge and loving heart,” family friend Tiffany Boles says. “He was just always doing something for everybody else.”
Since Tuesday, people all across the Ohio Valley have been doing different random acts of kindness, just like Josiah Titus-Glover always did.
“I decided to message a couple of our mutual friends and they loved the idea,” Boles says. “Then I decided to create a Facebook page and it just really blew up from there and everybody started inviting their friends.”
Better yet, all of them were doing random acts of kindness like leaving notes on cars, coloring pictures for our local law enforcement, leaving change on parking meters, handing out Popsicle, and so much more. One local business was even targeted by the random acts.
“We had a donor who is paying for admission for anyone who comes to the Children’s Museum in memory of Josiah,” Program Manager Valerie Reed says.
Josiah loved going to the museum and creating new things.
“One of my friends on one of her notes she passed out said his friends said that he was going to change the worlds with his inventions, but he is changing it with his love,” Boles added.
There’s no denying that his memory lives on through these random acts of kindness.
“I think that he would be ecstatic and happy and we definitely have felt his presence here,” Reed says.
If you would like to do a random act of kindness in Josiah’s honor just be sure to use #RememberingJoJo.
