Report: Several Retailers Rehashing 2014 Black Friday Deals


As we approach Thanksgiving, many consumers are looking forward to heading out to get the best holiday deals on Black Friday, but a new report released says some of those deals are Thanksgiving leftovers from last year.

According to the 2015 Black Friday Freshness Report from the financial website WalletHub, several Black Friday deals are being rehashed from 2014.

Overall, the study found that 11% of all deals are being recycled in 2015. Among retailers, Big Lots has the most repeated deals, with 16.4% of its current offers. 

Here is a breakdown the reports’ 15 highest-rehashed retailers and the percentage of repeated deals:

1. Big Lots (16.4%)
2. Costco (16.3%)
3. Best Buy (14.6%)
4. Ace Hardware (14.5%)
5. CVS Pharmacy (13.3%)
6. Macy’s (12.2%)
7. Sears (11.4%)
8. hhgregg (11.2)
9. Office Depot and OfficeMax (11.1%)
10. Meijer (10.3%)
11. Amazon (10.2%)
12. Kohl’s (9.4%)
13. Target (9.4%)
14. Wal-Mart (7.9%)
15. JCPenney (5.3%)
