Residents Seeking Employment Invited to OV Job Fair

Ohio Valley residents seeking employment should head to the Ohio Valley Mall Wednesday afternoon.

The ninth annual Ohio Valley Job Fair will take place in the Center court and Boscov’s court between noon and 4 p.m.

The event is put on by Ohio Means Jobs Belmont County, which is a part of Belmont County Job and Family Services Department.

Officials said the 2015 job fair will be the biggest yet with 125 vendors.

There will be a wide range of employers from fields such as oil and gas, retail, food services banking and hospitality.

“These employers are hiring” Ohio Means Jobs Belmont County Director Mike Schlanz said. “Many people get hired right on the spot. Some might get hired a week later or a month later, but all these companies are looking for employees, so it’s a great opportunity if you’re looking for employment or to switch jobs. Come out and see what’s being offered.”

People interested in attending are advised to make sure to dress as one would for a job interview. Many interviews are conducted right on the spot.
