It was a horrific case of animal cruelty in Moundsville, WV that has many in the community wanting to help.
If you remember, back in July, a family came home to find their 8 month old puppy mutilated and beheaded.
Police are still looking for the person who did it.
To help with the search, the Marshall County Animal Rescue League, is now offering a $1,500 reward for any information leading to their conviction.
The goal of the reward is to get this person off the street before they become more dangerous.
“If they would do this to a small and defenseless animal they would do something cruel and inhumane to a person,” Heather Sebert with the Humane Society of the United States says. “They would act violent all around in their lives.”
The first $1,500 of the reward came from the Marshall County Animal Rescue League.
“I felt sick, Marshall County Animal Rescue League Board of Director John Artimz says.”I felt like I wanted to throw up. It just boggles my mind that people can this inhumane that there is this much evil out there in our community.”
