Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale has announced that it has issued a letter of intent to join the West Virginia United Health System.
A management agreement is already in place between the two entities and hospital officials say the Reynolds management team will be employees of WVU. They will be leased to Reynolds Memorial to run the hospital. David Hess, CEO of Reynolds Memorial Hospital says this change will ensure the health of the community and the hospital.
“We’ve been around more than 100 years and want to be around 100 more,” Hess said. “Becoming part of the West Virginia United Health System means that we will be able to offer tertiary care from the state’s premier academic medical center to enhance our care of patients throughout the Ohio Valley.”
