Robber Cuts Hole into Moundsville Gambling Parlor; 2nd Incident in Two Weeks


Authorities in Marshall County are investigating a break-in at a local gambling parlor where the suspect allegedly cut a hole in the wall, the second incident of its kind in two weeks.

The crime was discovered Monday at the Geno’s at the Busy Beaver Plaza in Moundsville.

According to Sgt. Don DeWitt of the Moundsville Police Department, the suspect drilled a hole in the wall and then stole the money from inside the gambling machines.

Police did not disclose the amount of money stolen.

This is the second break-in where a hole was cut into a wall to enter a gambling parlor in Marshall County. The first happened on Oct. 26 at the Konnie’s Kastle on Jefferson Avenue in Moundsville. Police said more than $6,000 was taken.
