CHICAGO (AP) – Authorities in Chicago say a wall at a salt storage facility has collapsed, burying several cars at a dealership in salt.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says part of a wall at the facility broke down around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
No injuries were reported.
A spokeswoman for Chicago-based Morton Salt Inc., which has a campus in the area of the spill, didn’t immediately have further details.
Langford engineers will look at the building’s structural integrity.
Chicago police spokesman Thomas Sweeney says officers responded Tuesday to a call about the collapse. He didn’t have further details.
