While you are completing your holiday shopping at the Ohio Valley Mall, you have an opportunity to get in the holiday spirit of giving too.
The Salvation Army Giving Tree is filled with tags representing local kids of all ages and what they would like for Christmas.
Most kids on the tree are asking for toys, but some are even asking for items as simple as a new pair of pants.
Volunteer Alice Yates said that everyday people are taking more than one tag, a gesture that will make the holidays special for the kids in need.
“If you really want to get in the Christmas spirit take a tag, and make it good for someone else,” Yates said.
If you’d like to help, you can take any choose any tag off of the Giving Tree and bring back the gift anytime before December 20th.
