ORIGINAL STORY:

As of Friday at 5:00 am, Ohio State Highway Patrol continues their search for a man who they tried to pull over for speeding. Police say when they tried to pull him over, he kept going.

They were able to use spike strips to stop his car but that didn’t stop him.  He then got out of the car, ran up a steep embankment and into the woods.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants.

“We’re still working to identify him. For our understanding he may have a weapon on him so if anyone spots him we urge them not to  approach him, call the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department or the Highway Patrol and officers will be dispatched to the area,” said

Lt. James Faunda of the Highway Patrol.

Officers were searching in the I-470 area near the Fox Run. Multiple departments were on scene.
