Wednesday was Senior Wellness day at the Steubenville Y.
It was actually the third year in a row they hosted the event which included several classes including Silver Sneakers and Zumba.
Also there, different community businesses letting seniors know what resources that have in the community.
Wellness and Education Director, Cami Taylor, says the medical community recommends seniors get at least 150 minutes of exercise a week.
“Older people, they need to stay active, because as we age, we lose muscle mass, we lose just general physical fitness. If you can exercise, you can counteract that a little bit,” said Taylor.
Also, new to the Y, the will be offering massage therapy to members for a reduced rate.
Non-members are also allowed to book appointments.
