Sheriff’s Dept. Needs Public’s Help Finding Missing Jefferson County, OH Teen


Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a missing Jefferson County, OH teen who was last seen in December of last year and is considered a threat to herself.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is looking for 17-year-old Cherokee McLaughlin who was last seen by her mother the night of Dec. 14, 2014. Her mother told sheriff deputies when she awoke in the morning her daughter was gone.

Cherokee is described as a white female with a medium build, 5’3″, weighing about 125 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Authorities say she has piercings on both ears and bottom lip and scars up and down her arms that were self-inflicted.

The sheriff’s department advises that Cherokee has been off her medication since she went missing and is considered a threat to herself.
