Shots fired incident in Steubenville leads to three arrests

Three people are behind bars Thursday as a result of a shots fired incident in Steubenville, Wednesday night.

According to officers, around 7:00 p.m. a man fired his gun at a passing car from the parking lot of the former Hawk Gas Station. The gunman allegedly dropped his gun and ran away, leaving both his hat and his gun.

Witnesses say a woman then picked up the gun and ran with it. While officers are at the scene, someone spotted a black car driving by and yelled that the car was involved. Officers chased the car, which was reportedly stolen. The passenger, Jordan Hendricks, ran out of the vehicle and a foot chase began. Hendricks gave up and was arrested. Officers later find a gun on the path where Hendricks ran.

Officers were able to stop the vehicle and the three people were taken into custody. According to officers, the driver, Shaquille Wilson, got up, ran back to the car, picked up a gun and continued running.

Officers chased after him and told him to drop the gun several times. Several bags of heroin and a bag of crack cocaine was found on Wilson.

However, it turns out, these subjects were not involved in the shooting at the gas station.

Jordan Hendricks, 22, of Steubenville is being charged with tampering with evidence, weapons under disability, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and obstructing official business. Shaquille Wilson, 21, of Pittsburgh is being charged with possession of drugs,

Improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property. Kenyetta Moore, 41, years old of Steubenville is being charged with tampering with evidence.
