Six-year-old Noah Grigsby is working to feed families in Marshall County.
He and his mom, Sarah, decided to start collecting canned food to set up a food pantry for students whose families are less fortunate.
Today, students at Center McMechen Elementary and Bishop Donahue High School decided to help out with Noah’s idea.
“Because people didn’t have money and they couldn’t buy food,” Noah said.
“If a six year old has a little idea just to feed his friends, together all of us can feed this whole community that needs fed. I mean it’s just one opportunity from one little boy and just today we have two different schools working together,” added Sarah, Noah’s mother.
Today, the students delivered bags for people in McMechen to fill with non-perishable food. The bags will be collected by the students and faculty on Saturday.
