The Small Business Administration is currently in Follansbee offering assistance to those affected by recent flooding.
The SBA offers economic injury disaster loans at very low interest rates for non-profits, small businesses and individual home-owners and renters.
You do have to qualify for these low interest loans however.
If you do not qualify for these lows, there is another option.
“The West Virginia housing development fund also has a fund available but they have to get a rejection letter from the small business administration before they can contact the housing development fund. So there are two programs going right now offering assistance to our to our residence and business owners and I really urge the people to get in to at least talk to them and find out what’s available and what these people can do to help them,” said city manager John DeStefano.
The SBA will be in town for the rest of the week 8 to 5, Saturday 10 to 2, and all of next week through Thursday in the back of the city building.
