An unlikely combination came together for a great cause Thursday night: sorority sisters and chicken wings.
Sororities from West Liberty University held a fundraiser at Quaker Steak and Lube at The Highlands to help stop domestic violence.
Five teams of sisters from the different sororities found out who could eat chicken wings the fastest.
WLU Panhellenic Council Secretary Morgan Dowler said, “Fundraisers like this are really important for us as a campus to get everyone together and bring awareness to something bigger than all of us and come together and support whatever we can do for the community and anybody in need.”
Quaker Steak and Lube also donated $500 for the fundraiser. The sisters at Alpha Xi Delta finished their wings first to win a $100 gift certificate to the Lube.
